Without iron, we could do little with the oxygen in the air, because we would have no hemoglobin - which is the red blood pigment with iron as its central atom that acts as a means of transporting oxygen. To this end, the Biogena science team has developed a brand new iron quartet: Four different iron sources, each utilizing different uptake mechanisms, are combined to form the QuattroFerrin® Blend. One component of the blend is the popular plant-based iron from high-quality curry leaf extract. The formula is supplemented with the koji mushroom Aspergillus oryzae (Ultimine™), which is enriched with iron in a patented fermentation process. As an organic source, the proven amino acid chelate iron bisglycinate expands the spectrum. The blend is rounded off with a novel iron raw material in a pyrophosphate compound, which is specially surrounded by a protective layer to ensure ideal compatibility. Together, the QuattroFerrin® Blend delivers 21 mg of iron per capsule, making QuattroFerrin® 21 a gentle alternative to conventional iron salt supplements. The addition of natural vitamin C from the berry camu-camu to the formula further optimizes iron absorption.
The innovative iron supplement is particularly suitable for women of childbearing age, pregnant women or nursing mothers.
