On 29th June, Great Place to Work again awarded the best companies in Salzburg and Austria. The micronutrient company was the host of this years event. Biogena has already been awarded thrice by Great Place to Work as one of the best employers in Salzburg.
Themed “Mindfulness as quality in corporate culture“, Great Place to Work regionally awarded this year Lidl Österreich, the Hotel Alpendorf GmbH & CoKG. The prizes were awarded in the headquarters of the Salzburg-based micronutrient company Biogena. “After being awarded by Great Place to Work as one of the best employers in Salzburg for three times in a row, we are happy to be this years host, proudly declares Julia Ganglbauer, manager Biogena stores and CSR-manager of the company. This years motto is ‘Mindfulness as quality in corporate culture’ – this is also what Biogena stands for. A healthy work-life balance and time spent with ones family is for instance very important to us. With over 70 flexible working time models, we try to offer a maximum for all life situations”, explains Ganglbauer.
The personal talk as success factor
In addition to the flexible working times, personal talks with other employees also have a high priority in the company. Managers as well as social workers lend an ear to everybody and have real interest in authentic conversation.
Investment in lifelong learning
Moreover, Biogena offers its employees numerous training opportunities: the company invests up to 250.000 Euros per year in the training of its 265 employees. With the “Bildungs1000er”, every employee has a yearly budget of aliquot 1.000 Euros that he or she can use according to their own interests and wishes for personal further training and future fitness. Biogena received the special prize 2017 for “corporate education & lifelong learning” for its commitment to (further) training and education at the Great Place to Work event.
“Sharing knowledge is one of our goals – with our employees as well as with our customers We want to follow this way, because when it comes to lifelong learning, there can never be an end to it”, says Julia Ganglbauer.
