L-glutathione: An important endogenous substance
Glutathione (GSH) is an endogenous peptide compound, which is present in almost all human cells and is a component of important enzymes. In the body it is formed from the three amino acids glutamine acid, cysteine and glycine in a two-stage synthesis process. In this process, the sulphur-containing amino acid cysteine assumes a special role because only it is only found in selected foods in the human diet. High-quality sources for example, are vegetables from the cabbage family such as broccoli, cauliflower and Brussels sprouts. Furthermore, white and green cabbage or various root vegetables also contribute to the daily intake of cysteine. Biogena L-Glutathion reduziert contains glutathione in its reduced thiol form (GSH) and can be used for the targeted intake of this important tripeptide.
