Nitric oxide (also called NO) is a substance produced by the body which plays a decisive role in numerous processes in the body.
Various factors can trigger an excessive production of NO and thus lead to an imbalance in the nitrosative metabolism. This imbalance is intensified by the simultaneous occurrence of oxygen radicals in the form of oxidative stress. Normally, the cells of the body have various regulatory systems that counteract these substances. The amino acids L-cysteine, glycine and L-glutamine are the building blocks of the body's own L-glutathione, which plays a central role in antioxidative systems. Vitamins C and E as well as the trace element selenium help to protect the cells from oxidative stress.
Biogena NitroStress® Formula II is a sophisticated combination preparation that combines glutathione precursors, alpha lipoic acid, the coenzyme 10 active form Ubiquinol (KANEKA Ubiquinol™) and taurine with other selected micronutrients. NitroStress® Formula II is optimized by the combined use of NitroStress® Formula I.
