Digestive enzymes break down food into bilding blocks
Our bodies contain innumerable enzymes. These excipients are the drivers for many biochemical reactions and are indispensable for the metabolism. The task done by digestive enzymes is probably the most fundamental one in the body, as these enzymes are responsible for breaking down food components (e.g. proteins or fats) into their individual constituents. It is only in this way that food components can be absorbed into the blood via the mucous membranes and can thus be used by the metabolism or stored.
ConfiZym®: With enzymes to break down fats, protein and carbohydrates
Biogena ConfiZym® is a natural enzyme complex containing pancreatin, bromelain, papain and lactase for the targeted intake of enzymes before a meal. The lactase within it also promotes the break down of milk sugars (lactose).
Physiological functions of selected active ingredients:
• Lactase splits the milk sugar lactose into its different individual components galactose and glucose, and thus, improves lactose digestion in individuals who have problems digesting it. This group of people should take lactase before all lactose-containing meals. Lactose tolerance can vary and those affected should seek advice regarding the use of this enzyme in their diet.
• The mineral calcium supports the function of digestive enzymes.
